AppNote: Installation and Configuration of 2 Node iSCSI Based Cluster Using NetWare 6.5 SP1
NetWare 6.5 supports the iSCSI - a new internet standard which defines how industry standard SCSI (Small Computer Systems Interface) storage protocols are run over industry standard TCP/IP. iSCSI on Gigabit Ethernet hardware is a fraction of the cost of a full Fiber Channel SAN solution. The iSCSI Target and Initiator components included in NetWare 6.5 allow NetWare 6.5 to be used as an iSCSI Disk Server (shared disk system) for Novell Cluster Services.

Building a 604,000-User GroupWise 7 System

Pierre Chamberland, Messaging Architects CEO:

While in Montreal, Svetlin created a 100% virtualized messaging infrastructure based on VMWare GSX/ESX Servers using SLES and GW running on Linux. This is a very powerful combination that provides a very robust & scalable email and collaboration system. This combination also provides for high availability and fast business continuity is the event of a facility disaster.”

Erno de Korte about the created by me GroupWise 7 system during the GroupWise EMEA Summit 2005:

Your performance was indeed very good: you managed to create the biggest GroupWise system out of a heap of hardware and together with the rest of the team create more than 604 000 users in only a few days. This is of course a great accomplishment and I don't imagine many people in the world would have been able to do the same.”
